The first outdoor summer concert of the season at McAuliffe Library will take place this Saturday, 3 pm, featuring Railroad House Band.

“Let this local Americana band entertain you with their unique blend of music from Bluegrass to Western Swing,” according to the library Web site. “Join us for this Framingham Sounds concert with Railroad House Band, and remember to bring your your chair!”

Other events this week close to District 2:

The weekly Framingham Farmers Market is tomorrow (Thursday) at the Framingham Centre Common near Edgell Road and Vernon Street. The main market runs from 3 to 7 pm; food trucks will be at the Common during lunchtime as well, from noon to 7 pm. The market is scheduled to take place on the Common each Thursday through September 28.

This week’s Friday Night Summer Concert is at 6 to 8 pm also on the Framingham Centre Common and features Petty Larceny, a Tom Petty tribute band.
