Facing Loneliness Creating Community, Interfaith Thanksgiving, Sunday Nov 19, 5 pm, First Parish in Framingham, 24 Vernon St., Framingham, MA 01701. The national ritual of giving thanks has the power to bring us together across varied religious and spiritual traditions. This year, we give thanks for the bounty of the earth and the goodness of our neighbors.

The Framingham Interfaith Community Association is hosting an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service this Sunday, November 19, starting at 5 pm at First Parish Church, 24 Vernon St. in Framingham Centre. The entire community is invited.

Rev. Aaron Stockwell from First Parish will be preaching, while Cantor David Wolff from Temple Beth Am will lead music. There will be readings from Jewish, Christian, and Muslim sacred texts, and Bhante Pannasiri from the New England Buddhist Vihara will offer a blessing for peace.

There will be a potluck reception following the service. Attendees are asked to bring a dessert or other finger food to share.

The service continues a series of community conversations on loneliness and will celebrate some groups in the city who are finding ways to create community and address loneliness.
