Chris Herren, who had a brief career with the Boston Celtics, will share his journey navigating the disease of addiction “as a local kid in Fall River all the way to the NBA,” according to the event announcement. “Be inspired by his road to recovery and his mission to make a difference.” The event is Tuesday, April 9, 7 pm at the Wayland High School Theater, 264 Old Connecticut Path.
The event is free and open to “all community members from in or around Wayland.” Organizers say the program is appropriate for adults, young adults, and “mature middle schoolers.” Announcement is on the Wayland Police Facebook page. There will be a separate, private daytime event for Wayland HS students.
