FRAMINGHAM — Happening tomorrow:

It may be after Labor Day, but weekly farmers markets continue through early October. This week’s market takes place on the Framingham Centre Common (Edgell Road and Vernon Street) Thursday, Sept. 4, 3 to 7 pm (some food trucks start at noon).

From market manager Bill Sell via Facebook: “Just about full house on the map this week. A new gelato truck joins us this week, a couple of new crafters and a couple of small businesses.

“FOOD: Cousin’s Maine Lobster, Thee Taco Dude, Lania’s Italian, The Grub Guru, The Caribbean Press, Sabrosa Venezuela, FGF Gluten Free, Anzio’s Brick Oven Pizza along with Senti’s Kitchen on the savory side; Kona Ice, Sweeties Candy Bus, Moo-lishious the Mooving Cookie Bakery, Velma’s Kettle Corn, The Tasty Gelato Truck, and Eastleigh Farm Ice Cream on the sweet side.”

The next Lifelong Learning Lecture features environmental journalist Sharon Udasin, co-author of Poisoning the Well: How Forever Chemicals Contaminated America .

She will speak on “an ugly history of corporate greed, military impunity and community devastation, based on original reporting in four highly contaminated places,” according to the Framingham Public Library event announcement. “Learn about the people who, while fighting for their own lives, take action to fix a broken regulatory system. And see evidence as to how PFAS producers were aware of the deadly risks for decades while the government failed to protect its citizens.”

The lecture is from 7 to 8 pm Sept. 4 on Zoom. Sign up for the Lifelong Learning mailing list to get the Zoom link: bit.ly/Lifelong-Learning-Lectures.
