FRAMINGHAM – The Open Spirit Center hosts its annual Day of Spirit this Saturday, Oct. 18, noon to 4 pm. This year’s theme is Visions of Wholeness: Reimagining Our Lives and Our Communities.
“In our daily lives, and in the world around us, many of us feel the weight of constant stress, sadness, uncertainty and awareness of brokenness,” according to the event announcement. “This gathering invites us to pause, breathe, and explore how we can find balance, connection, and a sense of wholeness . . . We’ll explore what wholeness means – for ourselves and our communities.”
The event will include a cross-cultural, intergenerational conversation led by Yining Lu and Debbie Clark. Attendees can then attend workshops on either Writing for Wholeness or A Multi-Sensory Experience of Wholness: Five Healing Elements in Guzheng. At 3 pm there will be a sound bathing session with crystal bowls and chimes.
During the afternoon, Artist-in-Residence Valarie Poitier will be creating a communal artwork by piecing together fabrics.
Suggested donation is $30 to $50. For details and to sign up, visit https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd9N_ld-pFF5KyLnuusCAmGejBoGncc08pqw7vOzZ8_qFyWIA/viewform.
