FRAMINGHAM – Incumbent District 2 City Councilor Brandon Ward won re-election tonight with 62.3% of the vote, turning back an energetic challenge from former Planning Board Chair Carol Spack. He won all three precincts in the district.

In the race for School Committee, challenger Lorena Tovar defeated incumbent David Gordon 58% to 42%, after she had finished first in a three-way September preliminary election.

All results are unofficial.

The city also announced that Mayor Sisitsky won re-election with 56% of the vote, garnering 5,349 votes vs challenger Geoffrey Epstein’s 4,143.

The ballot question to make changes in the city charter won resounding approval with more than 77% of the vote.

Elsewhere, Mary Kate Feeney defeated Kenneth Weiss for the open seat in neighboring District 3 (Adam Steiner did not run for re-election), District 4 Councilor Michael Cannon turned back a challenge from Steven Belcher, and John Stefanini won back the District 8 seat he had lost to Leslie White Harvey two years ago.
