FRAMINGHAM – A driver was injured on Elm Street when a tree fell on his car last night around 7:15 pm, several Boston TV stations report.

“The driver was identified only as a man in his 60s,” according to WCVB. “His injuries were described as non-life-threatening. . . . Neighbors said the tree snapped with a bang that shook their homes.”

Firefighters “had to use the Jaws of Life” to free the man, Boston 25 reported. This happened “on the 200-block of Elm Street,” they said (Cameron Middle School is at 215 Elm St.) The road was briefly closed after the accident.
