WAYLAND – The Athenaeum in Saxonville definitely came to mind when I read this Wayland Post news story!
The Town House Cafe & Bistro is slated to open this summer at 21 Cochituate Road, not far from the Wayland public library and Mass Central Rail Trail. Entrepreneur Kirstyn Lipson “has thoroughly researched the building’s history and will pay homage to its past via names and decor,” according to the Post. “The edifice will undergo a facelift.”
Plans call for a breakfast bar, booth, and fireplace on the first floor and space for events such as celebrations and meetings on the second floor, as well as an outdoor patio. The Wayland Zoning Board of Appeals approved the project unanimously in November.
