FRAMINGHAM – The opening celebration for Art on the Cochituate Rail Trail is still on today at 1 pm, despite the somewhat less-than-ideal New England spring weather. “There will be plenty of entertainment and an opportunity to meet the artists,” Friends of Framingham Trails emailed this morning. “Experience the perfect blend of art, nature, and community. Walk the trail, meet fellow neighbors, and explore artwork inspired by the outdoor spaces we all enjoy. . . . We recommend dressing warmly and bringing an umbrella or raincoat to stay warm and dry.”
The ceremony will take place at the 1 School Street parking lot from 1 to about 2 pm. There will be very little parking available there. Instead, you can park at 500 Old Connecticut Path and walk up the trail, Friends of Framingham Trails said.
