FRAMINGHAM – This Thursday’s Farmers Market has been cancelled due to expected dangerous heat, the city announced today. The market is scheduled to return next week on Thursday, July 9.
The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning in the area from 10 am tomorrow through 8 pm Saturday, expecting “dangerously hot conditions with afternoon heat index values of 98 to 112 degrees. . . . Currently Thursday and Friday look to be the worst of the heat and humidity but regardless this will be a prolonged and dangerous heatwave.”
