The Friends of Framingham Trails holds its next group hike this Saturday, August 15, at the Cochituate Brook Reservation. Board member Carol Fassino will lead the walk, which starts at 9 a.m. Those who want to attend are asked to register through a Google form.
Cochituate Brook Reservation is a 27-acre conservation area running from Old Connecticut Path near Brownlea Road along the rail trail, over to Reardon Park, and out to Lake Cochituate. Trails on the walk are easy to moderate, with roots and rocks underfoot and some mild slopes, according to the Friends of Framingham Trails.
Saturday’s route starts at Reardon Park and heads through the woods to Lake Cochituate, crossing the Lake Cochituate dam and connecting to trails in Cochituate State Park. The event is expected to last an hour and a half to two hours.
Hikers will meet at the Reardon Park sign off Maymont Drive, near the playground equipment. There’s on-street parking along Laclede Avenue and Maymont Drive.

Registration is open to both Friends of Framingham Trails members and non-members.
