From the Framingham Department of Public Works shortly after 9 am:

The Framingham Water Department is responding to a water leak at 483 Potter Road on Monday morning, August 17.

To help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently while crews complete the necessary work, traffic traveling from Elm Street will be detoured onto Mary Agnes Road, then to Savoy Road and Lancaster Road, before returning to Potter Road.

Traffic traveling from Water Street will remain on Potter Road.

The detour is being implemented to maintain traffic flow on Potter Road and avoid a one-lane alternating traffic pattern, which can cause significant backups.

Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs, use caution in the area, and allow additional travel time while the work is underway.
