FRAMINGHAM – For many public school students and their parents, today is the last day of school vacation. For the rest of us, it’s also the last weekday of summer ’26 without school bus and drop-off traffic.

If you’re fortunate enough to be flexible about the time of day you need to drive through the neighborhood, here are the times that breakfast starts, classes start, and classes end at schools in and near District 2. You may want to work around these!

Morning bars run from the start of breakfast to the start of classes, both published by the district. Afternoon bars start at the published dismissal time and allow 15 minutes for buses and pickup lines — that part is an estimate, not district data. The gaps are the openings; the longest are roughly 7:25 to 7:55 and 8:10 to 8:50 in the morning, and 2:40 to 3:20 in the afternoon.
