FRAMINGHAM – If you want to observe Massachusetts Good Neighbor Day locally – well, actually Good Neighbor weekend since our state’s observance is officially Sept. 25-29 this year – Sudbury is holding its Find Your People fair on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2 to 4 pm at Goodnow Library.
The event will feature cider donuts and apple cider as well as representatives from around two dozen organizations including an Intergenerational Walking Club, Lincoln-Sudbury Adult & Community Education, the Sudbury Valley Trustees, and Thursday Garden Club. There will also be a food drive at the event.
Framingham’s Find Your People Fair is scheduled for January 9, 2027, so it will be easy to attend both. The city says the application portal for organizations that want to participate in Framingham’s event will open next month.
Note also that MetroWest Care Connection is hosting a Downtown Framingham Adult Resource Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm on the Downtown Framingham Commons between Park and Howard Streets. That focuses on connecting people with local health and social service organizations and offers free lunches, haircuts, and flu vaccines.
And, tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 26), the Wayland Free Public Library is hosting a Good Neighbor Day event indoors from 11 am to 1 pm. That event will featuring live vintage rock ’n roll by the Retro Polatin Trio from 11:30 to 12:30, donuts and cider, a collaborative art project, and a chance to “write kind notes to send to your friends and neighbors.” They will also be collecting food pantry donations.
