FRAMINGHAM – Open Spirit in Saxonville is hosting its annual Day of Spirit this Saturday, Oct. 24, from noon to 4 pm.
This year’s theme is Living in Harmony: Nurturing Spirit, Community & Nature. Kris Scopinich, Vice President of Education for Mass Audubon, is scheduled to give the keynote presentation on What Nature’s Chorus Can Teach Us About Connection.
There will also be a community bird art display; group meditation with live musical accompaniment; and workshops on movement through an Ayurvedic lens and how art connects spirit, nature & neighborhoods.
Suggested donation is $30 to $50, “more if you can, less if you can’t.” Registration is requested, which will include selecting one of three workshops at 1:45 to 2:45 pm.
There will be an open mic the day before on Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 pm with proceeds benefiting MetroWest Worker Center - Casa, which provides direct aid to immigrant residents.
Open Spirit’s Edwards Hall is at 39 Edwards St. next to Stapleton Elementary School off Elm Street.
