Thanks to an amendment offered by District 8 City Councilor John Stefanini, the Framingham City Council tonight voted to keep District 2 mostly intact in the city’s post-Census local redistricting.

That means most of Pinefield currently in District 2 will remain so, while most of the areas around Potter Road currently in District 1 will stay there.

The Council voted to accept Redistricting Proposal B as pictured below except for swapping new precincts 24 and 25, so 24 will be in District 1 and 25 remains in District 2. That is much closer to the current district boundary lines.
