The McAuliffe Branch Library is hosting a moment of silence in memory of Christa Corrigan McAuliffe, the teacher who died in the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster 36 years ago on January 28, 1986. The remembrance on Friday January 28, 2022 will be in person at the library named for the teacher-astronaut, from 11:39 to 11:40 am, the time of the disaster.
Christa grew up on Joseph Road in Framingham, now part of District 2, and was a graduate of Marian High School and Framingham State College.
