The Friends of Saxonville 25th Anniversary Celebration is less than 2 weeks away.

The event kicks off with a party Friday, October 13, from 6 to 9 pm featuring music, food, drink, and a Saxonville history exhibit at Project B Art Gallery, Saxonville Mills, 2 Central Street.

That will be followed by a family-friendly community celebration Saturday, October 14 from noon to 4 pm at the start of the Cochituate Rail Trail (School Street at Concord Street). That will include an artisan market, live music by the Sugar Kings starting at 1 pm, and kids activities such as pumpkin decorating, a scavenger hunt, a photo booth, and more. Parking will be available at 2 School Street (across from the start of the trail).

Saturday’s events will also include a welcome center at the Athenaeum (One Watson Place) where you can learn about a self-guided Saxonville history walking tour, a “raffle extravaganza”, Saxonville merchandise, and an announcement of the Friends of Saxonville “25th anniversary gift and birthday cake.”

Note that a $25 donation is requested from those who attend the Friday night party, which will include a “commemorative party favor & an entry for an exclusive door prize.” You can sign up at https://FOS25thanniversary.eventbrite.com.
