If you’re interested in local government and generative AI . . . .
I’ve got a VERY early stage app that uses generative AI (same technology that powers ChatGPT) to answer questions about Framingham government meetings, based on posted meeting minutes.
Caution: There will likely be mistakes and omissions. Getting 100% accurate responses out of this technology can be surprisingly difficult – models can be very finicky! But responses also include links to the minutes themselves, so you can check the results.
I think this technology is a) super interesting, b) fun, and c) will soon dramatically change the way we interact with information, once top models get better and more affordable.
If you’re interested, the demo (still under development) is at:

For a good sample of capabilities, ask a question like “What’s been said about Nobscot and the MBTA Communities Law? Please be detailed.”
Note: If you want to do a conventional text search of meeting agendas and minutes, I have another app that’s been around for awhile: https://apps.machlis.com/shiny/framingham_meetings/
