FRAMINGHAM – Sign of Spring: Garden in the Woods re-opens for the 2025 season this Saturday, April 12, for members and Sunday, April 13, for the general public. The 45-acre garden is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm.
Garden in the Woods is owned and run by the non-profit Native Plant Trust and features wildflowers, other native plants, a pond, and wetlands. There’s also a garden shop with native plants for sale.
“April is an enchanting time to visit the Garden, when spring woodland wildflowers from blue cohosh to bloodroot are unfurling,” according to the Native Plant Trust website. “Early species in our celebrated Trillium Collection follow closely behind.”
General admission is $18 for adults ages 18 to 64, $15 for ages 65+, $8 for ages 5 to 17, and $12 for students 18+.
Native Plant Trust members are admitted free, as are active service members and spouses with valid military ID. Veterans receive 50% off with proof of service.
Note that several area libraries including the Goodnow in Sudbury have discount passes to the garden.
The garden is located off Hemenway Road.
