FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Earth Day Festival has been postponed to its rain date of Saturday, May 3 “due to the forecast for significant rain,” according to the festival website. It will take place at the Framingham Centre Common next Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm.
“This annual family event is full of great exhibitors and ideas on ways to live more sustainably, and live more lightly on our beautiful mother earth,” organizers say.
However, Framingham State University’s annual Science on State Street festival will take place as planned tomorrow, Saturday, April 26 from noon to 3 pm, according to the university’s Christa McAuliffe Center. In case of bad weather, all exhibits will move indoors.
Science on State Street is the university’s free annual science festival “for families and learners of all ages,” according to the center, featuring:
- 37 exhibitors with hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and discussions relating directly or indirectly to planet Earth
- Free Planetarium Films at 12:00PM, 12:45PM, 1:30PM and 2:30PM. While planetarium films are free, tickets are required. Tickets will be available in-person 30 minutes prior to showtimes. 6 ticket maximum per group.
