FRAMINGHAM – A portion of Edgell Road will be closed starting Monday, June 23, Mondays through Fridays from 7 am to 5 pm for an estimated eight weeks during water and sewer replacement construction, the city announced today.

You can see a map of the planned detours below.

In addition to affecting morning commuter traffic, the road closure will also impact Nobscot and Saxonville residents who need to access city services such as government offices in the Memorial Building (there are no city government offices for the public north of Rte 9), the police station (there is no police station or substation north of Rte 9), and the Callahan Center. If you do need to access those government services this summer, leave extra travel time. Even if you take Rte 126 instead of Edgell Road to get downtown, Concord Street will likely be seeing heavier than usual traffic during this project as well, as some drivers attempt to avoid Edgell Road.
