FRAMINGHAM – Two events of possible interest Sunday in and near the neighborhood (both before the Super Bowl):

From the Framingham History Center:

History comes alive on the Framingham Centre Common as Framingham hosts a featured stop along the Henry Knox Trail!

Please note that the majority of the program will be held indoors due to projected cold temperatures. During the procession and program, visitors will have access to the FHC Village Hall on the Common’s heated gathering spaces and bathrooms.

This free, family-friendly event is part of a four-community commemoration presented by Revolution250. The afternoon features a dramatic outdoor procession with draft animals drawing cannons on sleds, followed by a community quilt unveiling, rare Revolutionary War era artifact exhibition, and a commemorative program that connects Framingham’s local history to a major turning point in the American Revolution.

Members of the Living History Co. will offer a side-by-side encounter with history through a living portrayal of Framingham’s Peter Salem as we interweave the experiences of Patriots of Color into the Noble Train’s 250th anniversary stop in Framingham, Massachusetts.

And in honor of Superbowl Sunday, Revolution250 is providing a special, limited-edition Knox-themed Patriots jersey for a lucky doorprize winner! Parking is available at Plymouth Church (87 Edgell Road) and First Parish (24 Vernon Street). Please use the cleared sidewalks to make your way to the Village Hall on the Common.

And at Saxonville Mills, via Friends of Saxonville:

This Sunday at The Mill Contemporary Art Shop from 1pm to 3pm we will be hosting a Plate Decorating Workshop. Handmade bisque tiles and plates are available to decorate with underglazes. Afterwards the pieces will be glaze fired. Making them food, microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.

Located at 2 Central St Suite 107, Framingham MA.

Cost $25 registration. Additional cost based upon the plate decorated.
