Announcement from Framingham DPW:
“The City of Framingham Department of Public Works advises residents and motorists that on Thursday, May 21, 2026, Central Street at Purchase Street will be reduced to one-lane alternating traffic between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. due to water service replacement work.
“Crews will be replacing the water service connection to the house located near the bridge area. This work is anticipated to be the final phase of the Johnson Street/Purchase Street water main project.
“Police details will be on site throughout the day to facilitate traffic flow and assist motorists traveling through the area.
“Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes when possible and should expect delays during construction hours.”
