This Saturday, Sept. 19, in and near the neighborhood:
19th Annual MetroWest Humane Society Crafts Fair at the Framingham Centre Common features more than 100 vendors plus a bake sale and food trucks. Items for sale will include jewelry, home decor, paintings, pottery, candles, quilts, and more. 10 am to 4 pm, free admission.
Free Outdoor Movie Night in the Saxonville Mills courtyard starting 6 pm. Games, music, and food trucks, as well as a screening of The Sandlot starting around sundown. Bring chairs or blankets.
Learning Center for the Deaf Homecoming starts with an 8 am 5K Walk/Run – proceeds benefit the school’s programs and services, registration is still open at $40 for adults – as well as vendor booths and activities from 10 am to 3 pm.
Pumpkin season continues at Hanson’s Farm (20 Nixon Road) with hayrides, a corn maze, and the pumpkin patch; admission $20 adults, $15 for kids 6-12, children 5 and younger are free. There’s also a weekend beer and wine garden as well as apple cider and cider donuts. 9 am to 6 pm.
Eastleigh Farms (1062 Edmands Road) wildly popular cow safaris continue on weekends from 1 to 4:30 pm. Pre-sale tickets are sold out for the year but the farm offers some in-person ticket sales starting at noon. (You can see Channel 5’s story about the farm on the WCVB website ).

The Framingham Business Trade Show runs from 1 to 6 pm at 110 Union Ave. and Pearl Street with live music, seminars and workshops, a beer garden, food trucks, a kids zone, and more. Admission is free. Sponsored by Downtown Framingham Inc.
Reminders for today and tomorrow:
The Framingham Garden Club’s first National Garden Club Standard Flower Show in 26 years is open to the public today, Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 2 to 4 pm and tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 17 from 11 am to 6 pm at Village Hall on the Common. Admission is free.
And the Framingham Farmers Market is tomorrow (and every Thursday through Oct. 8) at the Framingham Centre Common with new fall hours of 3 to 6 pm.
McAuliffe Library is showing Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl today (Wednesday, Sept. 16) starting at 12:30 pm and the musical (“Broadway’s smash hit is now the movie!”) The Pirates of Penzance tomorrow, Sept. 17, at 1 pm. If you’re wondering about the pirate theme, Talk Like a Pirate Day is this Saturday.
