Noon Years Eve Celebration Wednesday December 31 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

FRAMINGHAM – Want to get an even earlier start to your New Year’s celebration — before the Cochituate Rail Trail festivities begin at 4:30 pm? Here are some local daytime parties on Wednesday, Dec. 31, great for kids and/or seniors:

Noon Year’s Eve Celebrations at the Library, 11 am to noon. Both libraries are hosting parties Wednesday! There will be loud fun at the Main Library (49 Lexington St.) and a sensory-friendly program at McAuliffe Library (746 Water St.). “Perfect for kids and those who won’t stay up til midnight!” says the library. “Make crafts, dress up, and get ready for a balloon countdown drop at noon!”

Ring in the New Year at the Callahan Center (55+), noon to 1 pm. Features DJ Raymond Black, balloons, a photo booth, party hats, and noisemakers. Toast the holiday with sparkling cider and light refreshments as you count down to “midnight” at a convenient hour. Dressing up not required but encouraged. Please register by today, Friday, Dec. 26, 508-532-5980. Callahan Center is at 535 Union Ave.

Noon Year’s Eve Party, 11 am to noon at the Goodnow Library in Sudbury (21 Concord Road). Families are invited to join in the fun with crafts, music, party hats, and more, including a countdown to Noon.

And, the biggest pre-midnight party of all kicks off just after the sun goes down on Wednesday, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm: New Year’s Eve along the Cochituate Rail Trail.
